about

This song was written for Ash Wednesday, the Christian holy day of prayer and fasting. This Lenten season - posts and pieces will be focused less on brokenness and more on kindness and connection. I am excited to share some meditations and instrumentals with you over the next few weeks in this season of Lent. The first two pieces to be released are entitled "Stardust" + "Stardust, Breath, and Being" (which can be found on Youtube) Songs about the awe and wonder of being connected to all creation and our creator. We are connected to all life; we have a role in this sacred story.

"We have calcium in our bones, iron in our veins, carbon in our souls, and nitrogen in our brains. 93 percent stardust, with souls made of flames, we are all just stars that have people names." - Nikita Gill

What would it look like if we intentionally reaffirmed our connection (to "the other," to each other and creation) both on a cellular and cosmic level over the next forty days? How would we live differently? These pieces will begin to dive into that story, and I can't wait to share them with you as we move through this Lenten journey on our way to Holy Week. May the lenten work we do go toward healing the earth.⁣
